The Magic Of Color
What color should your wand be?
That is entirely up to you, your preferences and tastes. I have gathered many references together here, if you care to study them it may help you decide. You will find references to Chemistry, Wicca tradition, Vedic healing, American Indian beliefs, all jumbled together. But remember, colors are personal. Your reason for choosing your color may have nothing to do with what I have set down here!

The rainbowis a symbol of hopein almost every culture on the Earth. The beautiful array of colors represents the diversity of our planet and the people upon it. The Prism is a potent symbol of health, both mental and physical, in the Vedic tradition.
I like to give Prism wands to small children to symbolise my hope that each child will grow up to be all the many things he or she may be.

Aries, the sign ruled by Mars, wears the color red- red as rust, for Aries, red as dried blood. Vibrant Scorpio's red is the crimson of fresh blood, leaping in the veins. Humanistic Taurus is associated with the softer hues of the rose blossom, and even Cancer, the Moonchild, likes red in the form of a pale pink.
Red is associated with the Wiccan Yule- and, of course, the Christian Christmas- symbolising the fire that drives away the cold till the Sun returns.

In the Vedic tradition, Red corresponds to the Root Chakra, the foundation of physical health and survival.
The colour red provides the power from the earth and gives energy on all levels. It connects us to our physical body. Everything that is to be commenced needs the life vitality of red. Wear it when you need to meet a demanding day, or when you feel drained of energy.
